Default Can resto shammies take a hit?

So putting this in a different thread, just to keep it clean.

liking the idea of 3x warriors and 2x resto shammies.

My okay style is, charge everyone one in and mash buttons. More mobs the better.

Can the shammies take the cleave? Warriors will take the taunt smashs, within reason.
If a single shammy can take the hits and heal, thinking of swapping in a lifetapping lock.

    Thanks.

They can take a hit quite well as long as there geared. My team comp for classic right now is 3 wars a mage (for water/ports) and a shaman. I was thinking 4x war and just the single healer but the idea of the free water/ports is kind of winning out right now.

Yeah, I was torn with a mage too, but figured if a singl shammy, when I test, can handle it, the lock can summon back for sells and banks etc. Shammy totem would help with mana and leave blue with autotaunt on as a sponge. Still preferring two shammies from previous threads for totems and lower heal casts. Travelling is a pain, and I cant recall when summoning stones appeared outside dungeons.

They were there during vanilla but that was meeting stone. We were able to start summon with it during BC if I recall correctly.

I'm also thinking about a 3 war 2 sham. Travel time to vendor is not that long for some instances (strat and scholo for instance) you go outside and run to the nearest vendor. Quickly you will farm just a few instances that are good for you. During vanilla warlock had to go outside to port someone. It was not possible to port directly inside. If you have 5 characters you dont have to go at every run.

2 sham heal makes dungeons farm easier. You got 2 ankh to get recovery wipe. If you loose one healer you still have one. You can get all your group at melee most of the time because sham wear mail and have 2 chain heal. You canb use a lot of totems etc...

    That robot is not cheap.

    12 thorium bar
    4 rugged leather
    1 fused wiring
    2 elemental earth
    1 elemental fire

Then you have to compare the cost and the time you make to go and come back from vendor combined to your gold per hour.
The cost vary from server to server.
Having enginers in your group can be quite helpful with that robot and grenade.

Edit : If I remember correctly there is a vendor near scholomance entrance, In BRD there is a vendor at tavern. But for some instances robot can be quite useful.

I might have to change my tradeskills to suit and cover each one. If I do eng, probly do smith to cover the plate and grinding stones? Alchemy is a given. With tayling for bags, guess I should add enchanting. Maybe leave skinning and leatherworking for dungeon armor drops for shammies. Anyone know if the 10 tap nodes will be kept in place?

There's already quite a bit of discussion about warrior/shaman comps in other threads.

Yes, shamans can get a solid amount of armor with a shield and mail and your kill speed in PvE will be great with cleave and windfury totem.

The downside is that you're entirely reliant on free action potions to avoid being kited to death in PvP.

I probably wont be doing pvp.
Too many issues with ‘complaints’ and overworked blizzard help desk supporters thinking bots.

Had a good read kn the other threads including my own previous post in paladins, but was really trying to see how well a couple of shamans can survive being in a mashpot of melee and trash.

The feedback so far is that they can, but not to expect multiple pack pulls, which still works. =). Im not fussed wbout dps from them, just keeping the aoe warriors alive.
