    I cannot answer your other question, but all add-ons store their settings in the WTF/Account folder.
    More specifically; profiles (and other options that are intended for cross-character usage) are stored in the global account folder, rather than the individual character-addon folder:

    \WTF\Account\<ACCOUNT>\SavedVariables
