    Question Boxing at launch

Hi, stoked for classic but haven't multiboxed for a few years. Gone all-in on planning mode and started to think about launch, how to get the setup done in advance?

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't I need to create the chars BEFORE setting up the team(in Isboxer/HKN), I distinctly remember it that way. Or can I set up a team in advance and somehow slot-in the characters when I create them? Might be a hassle if I have to create the chars and then shut down the wow client and queue again to get started.

I hope I'm wrong, can anyone shed some light on this?

I've been thinking about the same stuff and just created testaccounts on retail and set everything up and will copying all settings over to the classic client since I expect classic to be a separate installation and not just a server option on the same client because they operate on different client versions that are going to differ more and more over time.

Well, you don't technically need to set them up prior to actually getting ingame. If you had all the information as to what names you'll have and on what realm (if there are any) you could set everything up in advance. Or you could create a dummy team that you modify once you actually get your characters creater. You can also refresh all changes you make to the team to Innerspace and the ISBoxer addon without having to completely log out of the game.

Hotkeynet does not handle character names or anything of the sort as far as I know and all the relevant macro work needs to be made ingame so no real issue there, but of course means you can no set everything up in advance.

There is nothing that is "set in stone" in your ISBoxer configuration, so whatever you set up now can be carried over to whatever else you want, in the future.

Good news, need to test it out in time before launch.

    Thanks

Looks like there are hints of a classic beta (link below). If anyone here gets in it would great if they could test results with some of the popular boxing programs. Although things should work similar to how they did in legion because it's using a similar client?

one issue is if like the ptr, there is only 1 beta login per battle net, so you need 2 accounts selected for beta to test ?

In order to change the team, is the only change we'll need to do (in terms of ISBoxer configuration) setting up the Characters under ISBoxer -> Characters? Stuff like "actual character name"/"game server"?

I wouldn't say that's the only change, since Classic has different spells and rotations that classes use, so I would also plan on figuring those out again, after it's finally released.

Ya, this is pretty standard, doubt it would change for classic.
