Group comps and leveling

I'm in a similar situation. I've been going back and forth between lvling 2 mages on launch, or a full dungeon group. Dual-boxing 2 mages to 60 will take about the same time as lvling 1 to 60 normally. You won't lose (much) time. Lvling a full dungeon group will slow you down a lot, but you can farm gold/pre-raid BIS really nicely when you're (close to) 60.

I've been leaning more to the full dungeon group idea. I'm thinking of leveling them mostly in the open world, and only doing a dungeon once if I have a few quests for it. At low levels I'd do a lot of quests, including most gather quests. At higher levels I think I would grind more.

I'd love to hear how other multiboxers lvled their 5 man groups in vanilla. I first multiboxed in Draenor, and can't find much online other than everyone saying that leveling in groups suck.
