Viability of AOE spam through instances?

For leveling absolutely without a doubt 100% fast, Easy. You can AOE up to 6-12 Yellow/Orange Conned Elites in most instances once you get the pulls down. (2 packs/normal pulls & a Patrol without too much trouble)

Once you hit outlands it gets down to 1 group or so per pull. Beyond ramps it's not quite so good.

I leveled my mages/priest before the quest/leveling changes in 2.3, & did my shammies after. In my opinion the mages seemed faster & more enjoyable becasue of AOE goodness.

Ahh, that makes more sense. Without a healer though, it'd be tough to do still (4 mages + tank). With all those people doing the Map Ping targetting for Blizzard, I wonder what 4 AOE Frost-specced Mages could do to elites.
