Does anyone have experience with AOE (arcane explosion + holy nova) in instances with 4 mages/1 priest? I know that there was a guy on here that did a speed run of Bot with 4-5 Holy priests spamming Holy Nova... I was wondering if anyone else had experience. It would be a generally good idea to burn down the hardest hitting mob by focus firing it before they got to you, but after that, AOE!
That guy would be me What I did was using 1 prot pally and 4 disc/holy dps speced priests. This works fairly well if your tank is good geared. I have no expirience with mages, but I am afraid that you will die a lot without a tank. If one of my priests caught agro in botanica they didnt live very long even though they got spamhealed by holy nova. If you are aiming for aoeing instances, I will highly reccomend bringing a protection paladin for tanking purposes.
Ahh, that makes more sense. Without a healer though, it'd be tough to do still (4 mages + tank). With all those people doing the Map Ping targetting for Blizzard, I wonder what 4 AOE Frost-specced Mages could do to elites.
