Trying out a new setup. 1 pali 1 priest 3 locks

only lvl14 atm so no fun toys yet but my minds been going like crazy at the possibilies...

CC - 3 single fear, 3 seduce, 3 banish, 4 aoe fears. - Im happy to use fear as a CC when multiboxing, just pull the mobs far enough away from others before you start to fight.
Tanks - 1 pali tank, 3 pet off tanks - thats should be enough for most instances while leveling.
single target DPS - 3 locks spamming nuke drops stuff quick!

but here's the bit that i really LOVE!....

AOE - Consecrate, Holy nova, 3 x Hellfire. thats an insane amount of AOE DPS! plus holy nova heals for the dmg helfire generates

I did some rough calcs at dmg at lvl30 (when locks 1st get hellfire) just taken from the spell tooltip nothing fancy...

318 AOE DPS Total

To give you an idea how much damage that is mage's get a new fireball at lvl30. this DPs is 77.333 so that means every mob being AOEd should be taking the dmg of aprox 4 fire ball spamming mages! cant wait to try this out lol

The AOE DPS is something I'm definitely interested in. After my shamans ding 70 (I hope in the next 2 weeks) I want to start a Priest + 4 Mages group. Does anyone have any experience AOEing through an instance at "equal level" with a group like that? 4x Arcane Explosion + Holy Nova Spam... I wonder if it's enough to kill mobs before they kill your squishies.

Also, I'd LOVE to hear if anyone has perfected some nasty 4x Blizzard techniques with the MapPing casting method.

Multiple hellfires is some sick DPS. As it should be since you can't move, have a short radius and take heavy damage while doing it.

So currently I run a pally and 4 locks. The pally is prot spec but I have rarely had to tank with him because it takes even bosses a very fair amount of time to chew through 4 VWs. I am 29 and in SM GY atm and have not tanked a boss yet (unless I chose to do so for practice).

I have toyed with subbing a lock for a healer... right now I'm content. But, I may be FORCED to try it out as one of my accounts just got a 72 hr ban for exploiting the economy... I have done absolutely nothing to deserve it but I was away from game for awhile and the account got pirated(entirely unbeknownst to me). When I was informed by blizz and recovered the account, I think it may be doomed as its already on whatever watchlists and what not so every "omg bot" report will just lead to bad things such as the current situation. Once I get hellfire I'll see how much damage my guys take and decide from there.

My team has a pally , priest, 2 locks and a mage (sheeps, water & portals beat the extra lock for me) - combined AoE is pretty awesome.

I set my casters up in a V shape with the mage in the middle at the back, have the pally round up mobs, - I have Minimap ping on the same macro as consecrate so I start with consecrate + 2 x Rain of Fire and a Blizzard.

When the mobs aggro the casters and run into the 'kill zone' inside the V - (switch to concentration aura), 2 x Hellfires with the mage doing Blast Wave , AE spam and a final Cone of Cold - collect loot.
