I'll answer my own question, and it's good news!
It does work fine on multiple teams, you do NOT lose the first team link when doing a second one.

So are you saying that a particular toon can be a member of more than one group (for example my main Pally can be both a member of a group of 5 Paladins and also a tank for my farming team), or are you saying you can have multiple teams on the same account as long as each toon is linked with a unique team?

each specific character can only be linked to one team.
I have a set of 5 that are linked to a mount and another different set of 5 linked to a different mount.

I'm doing the quest now..need the red monocle and then whatever comes after that. But man, i would pay 10 million gold for a 5 man mount that is account wide! ( i don't even have that much gold but I would grind it out hehe )



Done! That was long! Now that i know how to do it, ill do it for all my teams at some point! tomtom has a hivemind addon that makes easy work of the red monocle!

i do regret not bringing in one toon from each team for the yellow..oh well! ill get it for them all next time!

that's the important thing to note, is don't get rid of the monocles when your done.

What does "mess with" refer to?

I doubt Blizzard introduced a mount with a very niche feature locked behind several hurdles, just to take it away in the next expansion. So, if you have something you're interested in, specific to this mount, then it would help to know what that is.

Nothing 'specific' just a general curiosity if there has been any updates....hopefully they do leave it alone.

if they change anything.. i would wish for making in bnet account wide..but that is just a dream! ( i mean being able to put 5 of any combo of toons in it as long as they are on the same bnet )

The only thing they could really do is what Lyonheart points out, and that's to just make it work with everyone and anyone (again), as it was when the mount was first introduced.

Sadly when I added my druid to the team this weekend, it replaced my Shaman.
