10 boxing on a very tight budget
Hello there,
At the moment, my budget is around 1500$. I am interested in multiboxing 10 or more clients, I don't care about settings (can go down with rendering) and if its needed I can go without any addons. There is no need to have "power" available for other things such as twitch, etc.
I'm also not planning on going into a content such as raids, just a basic farming of herbs or 2x4 farms, atleast for now.
What would be the absolute minimal requirement to hold such a multibox farm? And if I get some cash in the future, what would be the minimal optimal one?
Thank you for your help!

Do some searching around. Even for used pcs.
Any newish i7 6 core/12threads, overclock a little bit, a aio cooler with 2 fans, 600wattish powersupply, 32 gb ram (motherboard upgradable to 64gb is a pluss, if need be later on), gfx 1060 6gb vram, 250ish gb ssd. Will work for 10 man, with lowest settings and with few addons.
With this machine you will have it run at 1080p in all windows, temps stable around 60 at full farming mode, fps then at high 20 fps during farming. Cpu usage on all cores at 90-95% usage. 29.5 gb ram in use. Since you wish to lower the render etc, you will be able to get even more performance.
I have such a pc, its nice. It costed around 2k dollars though.
I also have several other pcs, with exact same parts, except these run 5 games across 2 monitors each, with a oldschool intel 4770k cpu, 4 cores / 8 threads, 16 gb ram (motherboard able to install 32gb is a pluss). 13 gb ram in use. With nice performance. Im able to find these used around the 1k dollar mark per full build. Cpu usage at full farming is 65%, temps around 60. Fps 25+. Pretty sweet and im happy with it. I run 2 x cheap 60 fps 24inch monitors, one main game at the lower one and 4 games on the monitor above it. Bought loads of vertical stacked 2 monitor stands. They are also easy to manouver around if i need and easy to setup and tear down, if need be.
I have all machines limited though, to: 60 fps main on the pc, slaves at max 30 fps.
I prefere these smaller 5 man pcs, they give more headroom and so far they have been able to cope with the increased demand the game need over time. And the price isnt bad.
And when i mean the games run at max farmmode, they are realllly stressed on a stand still farm.
And im able to visitt all major cities whenever, the fps are ok there and no dc or lack of memory.
Once awhile i find the odd pc part used veeery cheap and then i pick it up if i can. Over time = another cheap farming pc.
Try get a pc with some headroom if possible, as it would suck if you have to replace it very fast.

Just a reminder, with these tricks, you will be able to finetune quite a bit.
Big props to our main man, MiRai, for the guide!
Turned out i hadnt set up these myself properly. The games run a bit smoother now. Extra resources = i will take them.
