I caused my own gank one time lol..

I was in that first Dranari town just after the starting area, can't remember the name for some reason. Some horde lvl 70s where there killing everything for shits and grins I presume. I thought, that's fine, I'm not flagged for pvp, so I go to turn in my quest where they are, and they are all /boggle /gasp whatever, so I selected the big main guy and did /dance with the group to play along.

A rogue strolled over and was making some gestures to one of my toons, and all the sudden she stopped dancing and whacked him with her mace lol... well, that flagged the whole group and they stomped the shit out of us, and laughed and danced. It was funny, because I looked at that toons screen and said out loud "wtf are you doing?!?! As if it was someone else in my party that screwed up lol.. I'm so used to other people screwing up that it was my initial reaction. My gf said defensively, "Who are you talking to??? " as if I was saying this to her, I pointed at the screen and said "her, she did it! , not you!" Thinking that I was about to be cut off.. lol... she gave me a funny look and walked away. I had to take a moment and think, ok, that was my fault , theres nobody here but you lol... I still don't know what prompted her to whack him with her mace? lol...
Possible that your character had the enemy targeted without you noticing, and in trying to type something, you accidentally sent the 'attack' keybind to that client (normally set to 'T'). So when the targeted enemy got close, your character was suddenly in melee range and bam!
