In previous posts I've held forth that I hold no recriminations against people who gank me, after all I've always been on PvP servers and what goes around comes around. I've played WoW for probably 2.5 years so have a good idea what constitutes fair and reasonable gankage. I would consider that 1 to 2 ganks per 3 hours of play to be fair and reasonable on a high population server at peak usage times in contested areas with lots of faction neutral quests. However, since my team hit the mid 40s and are now early 50s I've noticed that I have become the target of a few ally 70s. The same 70s are appearing again and again to gank my team, there's not a whole lot I can do to take out a 70 rogue and absolutely nothing I can do against a 70 ret Pally in full arena S2 gear lol. They are multiple me murderers.
In 2 sessions of 3 hours each the pally ganked me 3 times in Tanaris, 3 times in searing gorge. the rogue 3 times in tanaris. Definately the same pally and rogue. It also seemed that the word was put out that I was a good target for ganking as 6 mid 50 ally came to try and get me in a 15 minute period. Yes, 15 minutes. A warrior/rogue combo, a lone lock, a pally, a priest, a mage. They of course were toast even when the lock tried to gank me while I had 3 mobs on me. I'm not uber, I'm a multiboxer.
A 70 mage got me last night in Unguro Crater and I snapped and logged in my 70 Lock. But couldn't find the mage so I camped Marshalls Refuge and killed the Ally npc and any ally who wandered in , what's nice about marshalls is that there's a graveyard there now, so the ally can rez and I can gank them again and again and again. I am now suffering from gank rageinch:
And the point of this post apart from its cathartic use ^^ is that the only reason I've been ganked so much is that I'm boxing.
And another thing:
So last week I'm in the Hinterlands doing a quest where you have to pick up 10 bowls of blood (how delightful). So I arrive at some temple and start killing the mobs around this bowl, I kill them and a horde lock comes up and takes the bowl.....I say nothing and move onto the next group of mobs, I kill them and he does the same thing
me: "Hey mate, stop taking my bowls, I'm doing the quest"
him: "So what!, it doesn't matter as you're a botter"
me: "I'm a multi boxer"
him: "So totally coordinated firing isn't botting? yeah right"
me: "Well if you feel so bad about it go and report me"
him: already done
So he does it a few more times ( I have to get 50 of theseinch: ) so I go off in a different direction. 2 hours later I'm doing a quest where you have to get insect parts in Tanaris, it's literally miles from anywhere, isn't on the way to anywhere and the only reason to be there is to do this quest. So there I am busily killing insects and in the distance behind me I can see a someone coming (I always have 1 toons camera pov facing behind us with max distance(paranoia))......and I think "awwwwDAMN I really don't feel like getting ganked again" anyway not to worry, it's a 70 tauren druid and he parks next to me and watches......and I say "Hi, I'm a multiboxer" and he says "I know".........silence.........sound of crickets.....silence and he just takes off the way he came.
Has anyone else experienced that? Could have been a GM I guess but that doesn't make too much sense.
