Changing charaters/sets without relaunching instance of wow?

Hello everyone. I was having the same question, so thank you for the post.

Thing is, that is the ideal world and not the real world, as not always the tank or healer (main pov toons) are in the same account.
I play from healer perspective or tank perspective depending on the group, so I will have to change video/sound settings everytime I switch character set if the above condition is not met.

I suppose there's no way to change this, right?

Correct there is no way to change it. The reason for the note, is because when you load the initial character set, it is that config-charname.wtf file which is loaded. The config.wtf file is not loaded again until you exit the game, and reload that instance, so using the camp out, swap toons, reload set, means that you may not end up with the config.wtf file you want, which in your case may end up being the sound/video settings.

That said, you may be able to control all the values you want via cvars, or even ISBoxer Sound Actions, so it may be possible to configure a macro and a mapped key to fire it, so when you switch toons your main toon has the settings you want.

That's what I do, using slot-swap macros.
