Anchor Weed Alert

Just wondering if anyone knows of or uses and updated addon that alerts you when an Anchor Weed is detected?

I only really farmed herbs while I was leveling up in BFA, but it would still be nice to grab up some anchor weed as I'm out and about doing World Quests. Just a quality of life improvement not having to mouse over the mini-map to see what the herb is all the time.

I know there used to be a addon that did exactly this by reading the nodes on your mini-map and showing a popup basically alerting you but it hasn't been updated in some time, think it's abandoned. I don't remember the name, map alert maybe?

I was going to find it and fix it for BFA and then have it work in conjunction with TomTom... but don't think that will happen, having to much fun playing BFA Maybe before the next big expansion I'll get around to writing a few of the addons I've been meaning to for boxers.

Anyway,
If any of you know something that would work in similar fashion let me know please,

Does this need an extra addon for it to work,??

I downloaded it add to the right box what herb (anchor weed) I wanted to alert me, but it does nothing ...

Did you click start/scan in the little window that pops up when you type /minimapalert ? Is your minimap briefly disappearing and reappearing while you're scanning? If the minimap thing isn't happening the addon isn't actively looking for nodes.

If you have any other minimap addon running, you might need to disable it.

No other addons for my minimap

ok i ran /minimapalert

there is a small box that starts to scan and my minimap starts to flash, but when i do see a anchor weed nothing is happening

Try disable all addons exept this one and follow the instructions at the top veeery closely. It should work.

Yep after turning alot of addons of it works perfectly I should really download gathermate2(just too lazy to do it ) but Im really finding out that anchor weed really does spawn randomly and never in the same spot
