    Default Skinning, tips for BFA?

Turns out our beloved mother skinning knife got nerfed... https://www.wowhead.com/item=130102/...skinning-knife as it doesnt work on higher lvl mobs. /RIP, you served us well. This is veeeeeeeeeery annoying

Currently im doing standstill farms on some of my maaany teams, where im using in my re-key map...... loot-a-rang....dps macro....loot-a-rang... then a macro x 3 which consist of:

    /cast [@mouseover,dead] Skinning(Apprentice)

As long as i keep the mousecursor around the feet of my main character, it will be on the same spot on all the slaves, and since most mobs die around that area, i get to skin most of them.

But its not perfect: any tips welcome

Your way sounds faster than mine for lots of mobs.

I only have one skinner on a team, no lootarang, and I just hit my loot key a couple extra times and he skins automatically. My loot key is a /targetlastenemy macro followed by IWT.

I doubt you'll find a faster way then using interact with mouseover like you're already doing. Seems like a solid way to do it.

Not sure what you mean, how would you go about doing that, if your character stood up to his stomach of dead mobs?

I rely on my characters to not change the direction they are facing, as that would make it impossible to target and hit the mobs they have to keep pulling. They also cant move, not even an inch.

Actually i had a minor eureka moment:

i found another 10 meter usb extensioncable i had laying around and i took a 20 x 20 cm x 2 cm piece of woodplank, nailed down 8 small nails in a pattern, so that the pc mouse fitted inside, with around 1 cm ish of room on the outside in all directions. I then pressed the top button on the mouse to change its ehh.. dpi, i guess its called, and the cursor now moves max to just outside my ingame character.

And now by moving the mouse a little bit now and then, i manage to skin a bit more mobs.

    Not too shabby.

/Goes back to sitting in couch, now with keyboard and mouse.

With that level of automation I think you are really pushing the grey area for what would be considered botting... if you aren't actually at the monitor and all you are doing is pushing the keyboard and mouse buttons to me that isn't really "playing"...

I think we all need to be careful with how far we push the envelope before we force Blizzard to make changes...I think there's a fair chance that if there was no Prepared we would still have /follow in battlegrounds...

There is zero automation here. Every action need a keypress from my own fingers. Blizzard is well informed on my farming and how i do it. I have a website where i document everything and they have access to it privatly. No issues. Besides, i have and have had many other character doing outside things like farming for a very long time. Like f.ex i have 5 characters who only craft a item and DE it, while i also do standstill farms. Ive now added some scappers, since i now have lots of extra green items i can get mats from.

I disagree everything about your process is automated except for the keypress... sitting on your couch pressing a button while not even watching the screen is not "playing" a game...
All you have to do is take one extra step and add an autoclicker and then you have full automation... you're one step removed from that...don't see how you can say it's zero automation....

Thats true. If i wasnt pressing the very few buttons on my own, i would have it fully automated. But according to blizzard its fine what i do, as the keypress isnt automated, i press it myself. They most likly monitor my every move, how often i take breaks, the patterns in the keypresses, does various "botchecks" every so often etc. I bet they run proffessional anti botting analyzing tools. But thats fine, they have to investigate when people rapport me.
