Default Keyclone and multiple "screens" using Maximizer

Ok I got fairly frustrated with Octopus, and decided to buy Keyclone. So far so good. The "clones running rampant" thing happens with "Shift Looting", but other than that, very stable and enjoyable. I'm adding L-Shift + EVERY KEY to avoid that in the future.

Anyway, a few questions (and do forgive me, if I post more over the following weeks)

I have a 37" Monitor, and split my 2 characters evenly on the screen.

I really don't like doing this. I've played MMO's for a decade now with only looking at one screen/UI. It's incredibly irritating on my weak eye.

Until I get some space in a few weeks to try using a smaller monitor for the clone, while using the big one for the brain (moving into a new house soon) can I just minimize the clone, and run around using the main window? Saving Maximizer for when I hook up a second display?

Minus quest drops, and quest turn ins, there isn't a major reason to have the screen up right (except to steer an auto follower back when they go bonkers)?

Next question. Is the /follow method really the best way to do it, or would allowing the keyboard to control movement of all characters be a better idea?

Finally, I fill up my 1 through = hotbar with spells, so that the twins cast the same spell at close to the same time. What if/when I get more spells, and want/need the ability to have more than one set of active/accessible bars. What's the best way to do that? When I hit 40, get shadowform, mindflay and a small arsenal of other abilities; I can tell that 12 buttons will not be enough for spells, food, drink, mount, follow macros, stop macros, mana tap, arcane torrent, heals, etc.

Final question.... for now (*sinister laugh*): This dual WoW project is an experiment, I have a raider and use a custom UI. That UI gets destroyed from playing the twins... anything I can do to keep my UI and functionality in one piece after each play session?

Howdy Jhazz and welcome to the forums!

*whew* that's a few questions... let's see... here goes...

#1. you can split your screen however you'd like. some people do 1 big and 2-4 stacked on the right. i have also seen people put their browser in a region...

here's an example of a 4x wow single screen layout:

when you want to use the small ones, which are usable where they are... you can 'pip swap' them with the larger region.
check this link for more: http://solidice.com/keyclone/pip.html

if you have a 2nd monitor, that's usually preferred. currently, i'm running 2 monitors with my main on my left monitor and a 2x2 on the right monitor. could you run with them minimized? yea.. i guess... but i understand there can be issues with network drops.
alternatively, you could have all 3 set to the same res stacked on top of each other... and just 'pip swap' the one you want... make sure to set your maxfpsbk to something like 2 or 3 to avoid the unnecessary cpu/gpu burn

#2. /follow is the only way to really do it. check this link for an explanation and a pretty picture:
    [Keyclone] Full Synchronization?

#3. you can bind any key to any power in wow. using bongos (or some other button manager) you can position them wherever you want.

#4. if your wow ui is getting hosed... try dual installs of wow, keeping your solo play separate from your multi-boxing.

btw.. if you are going to get more accounts (and seriously.. how can you stop at 2...), don't forget to 'recruit-a-friend' from your main. this will save you a months fee per new account.

if you have any other questions or comments, please feel free to drop me a note (oh.. i can see a problem with that statement already )

    have a great night,

    Rob
