Best group for AoE farming?

I am currently running 5 Hunters...

Just looking for a few recommendations on what you guys think would be some good groups for AoE farming...

I am tempted to try 3 Mages using Arcane Explosion and 2 Priests using Holy Nova... any opinions on this setup?

I do not have many teams right now so I cant say for sure what the best would be, but pali tanks are strong in AoE. I use blessed hammer and last defender, and consecration causes your attacks to automatically AoE, just overall seems a good choice for it.

A friend tells me he's been running his DK through the 110-120 content with very few issues and strong survivability against big pulls. He's running Blood spec with frost DPS gear.

4 Boomkins (starfall) or 4 DKs (howling blast || bloodboil/DND)

I think the arcane spam + holy nova spam might be a mana drain, it will work, but for instant spawn camps how long until you have to break?

Arcane spam on the mages, u might think it be good but the mana u use and the downtime u need to drink up just isnt worth it,,

Might warlock have a good aoe with seed of corrupation?

Spamming moonfire and sunfire to get enough starfall sounds good,

I prefere to use a lot of hunters: if you need to afk to do some stuff, atleast the pets will attack any mobs that attack you, so you wont die.

Its quite annoying if you had positioned your characters around to optimum spots, and have to move them to a safe spot to avoid getting killed, just because you needed to go use the toilet or whatever. Therefore hunters are nice that way.


You place all your hunters in a tight group or circle, ish, then have each face the direction of a mob that spawn nearby.
Mind you....to get the mobs kited into the "circle" of all your characters, you need to f.ex have the toon placed at "3 oclock, face towards the inner part of the circle, so it attacks the mob outside the circle and directly oposite over at the "9 oclock" direction, and so on.

Then:

/cleartarget
/targetenemy [noharm]
/petattack
/castsequence reset=target a murder of crows, barbed shot, kill command, cobra shot, cobra shot, cobra shot


This makes all the mobs come to you, all the mobs die very fast: resetting the crow spell, so its spammable. All mobs die within looting range.

6. stomp (or, barrage on a custom round robin within the key re-map, and if you press it every 4-5 sec approx, "100%" uptime if you have 5 characters).
