Thread: Worth it

    Default Worth it

Is it worth multi-boxing? What are the benefits, etc.

Worth it when it comes to raids? Especially if you are new to multi-boxing.I was looking into starting up with multi-boxing, but having second thoughts now. I was thinking of a 3 man Boomkin crew.

Multiboxing has proven time and time again to not be what most people think it is.
    "You can't raid!" "<yogg_10man_heroic.mpeg>"
"I'm gonna pwn in PVP YO!" "Uh...ISBoxer is broken and I can't figure this crap out."
"I have 10 herbalists I'm so gonna make mad bank on all these mats." "https://duckduckgo.com/?q=what+is+supply+and+demand"

I can't count the number of times people have either gotten into it thinking it would make them gods among mortals, or told everyone that nobody can 5-man <insert hard dungeon or boss here> and been proven wrong. I suspect a lot more people multibox because you just never know what will work or won't until you try. If you're the explorer/tinkerer/etc. type, you'll probably like it. It's really hard to tell you which hobbies will keep your interest, especially when it's something as complex as multiboxing.

Try the IsBoxer 7 day free trial and create 3 starter accounts and multibox up to level 20.

You'll see if you enjoy it or not.

I always forget about the ISB trial thing.

This is a question we see fairly often and the reality is that no one can tell you whether or not it will be worth it to you, as that is completely subjective.

We can answer along the lines of what you can, most likely, hope to do in terms of content and what is and is not technically possible. The amount of enjoyment you would gain in participating in it, we do not know.

I also advocate trying out the ISBoxer trial with trial WoW accounts to see if you like the general play style.

The main issue with isboxer is that is has so many options its absolutly insane. Im pretty sure 90% of potensial users only need the most basic of features. Its incredibly easy to get lost in the menues, where to create the keybinds you want etc. Its too easy to make mistakes.

There should be an option to hide close to everything, except that you should be able to expand menues at will, but with a warning...to make sure if you want to enter..

There should be a instant on demand tutorial available. Within isboxer. Like: i want to create a keybind, so that all the slaves will assist me and attack the same target. And a text and video guide should be possible to find. You only need such guides for the most basic of things. It would help a ton.

When i started it took hours and hours to learn things. And i had to watch maaaaaany videoguides. Everything was important...i assumed...took notes of all...so much time used, which was not needed. I have around 20 points i would have loved to have short guides for, back in the days. Things ive learned since.

Ask any player, where do they get stuck...make guides for those. And soon you will have your guides.

Also the isboxer advert video is not good. It doesnt really show it in proper action while playing wow. It should showcase a lot more. It doesnt tempt players to try it out.

What hooked me back in the days was seeing 5 shamans doing formations, attacking the same targets, doing dungeonruns i wouldnt be able to solo etc. Videos i found on youtube.
