This is the issue with open ended rules with no clear definitions or guide lines. Anything can be intrepreted as zone disruption or harassment and if enough people complain, justly or not, action can some time be taken.

There is no consistency to it and it's down to luck as to which GM happens to look at the situation.

Think I'll be mainly doing PVE since even with Warmode where you specifically need to opt-in for all aspects of WPVP, it seems people's feelings matter more than consistent application of rules. I'd bet good money on the same thing being done by one of the massive WPVP guilds not being treated the same.

Since they wrote the rules, and they're trying to satisfy the largest number of people, and we're a "vanishingly rare" portion of the playerbase, can you blame them?

As far as being clear about what is and is not OK and appying that standard consistently, yes, I absolutely can.

I'm not saying they should not police conduct ingame. I am saying I simply wish there were actual guidelines regarding it beyond vague policies that are far too open to interpretretation.

I can't disagree. I'm still happier with Blizzard customer support than Amazon at this point. :P
