Thinking of Returning to Wow Multiboxing.. Few questions

So its been a while since I last played wow (Wrath of Lich King).. and with the new expansion i'm considering coming back. But had a few questions, and was hoping of of you fine people would indulge me with your knowledge..

1. So i have 5 WoW accounts on my battlenet account, do i only have to buy the BFA expansion once for all accounts on my battlenet acc or 5 times one for each account? I know i will need five subscriptions but just curious on the expansion costs?

2. I only ever did 5 man boxing in dungeons etc during my initial multiboxing journey, and wanted to see how viable it is to multibox these days? i would like work work my way through all the story stuff of previous expansions first.

3. PC Capability.. I'm running a single 1080TI with a i4470k @4Ghz processor and 16gb of ram is that enough for multiboxing these days?

4. Anything else i should know? before coming back after many years away...

Hello QuantumX,

1. You need to buy BFA for each Wow Account.

2. I have been leveling my first team (5 BM Hunters) and have been able to complete all dungeons thus far. I am only level 65 at the moment but been going well.

3. I am running a GTX970 with a AMD 8 core cpu at 3 GHz with 16 GB of ram at 1080p and I am not having any problems with my 5 man teams however I have not been into the current expansion major cities. With your 1080TI you should be able to go all the way up to 4k if you want but obviously FPS will drop. Based on all the information I have seen on the forums and my own research you might want to consider going to 32 GB of ram but you could always try and then upgrade as needed.

4. If you are planning on using ISBoxer my suggestion would be to switch to a video FX layout and get to the pro configuration as fast as possible. I leveled to 40 on my team and then spent the time to configure a video FX layout and pro configuration and had to relearn how to control my team but after I did everything is smoother. I would also suggest if you use ISBoxer to view all of MiRai's video tutorials as they have great pieces of information like having a separate button for targeting instead of having it built into the macro so that you have better control.

This is just my two cents and I am a beginner when it comes to multiboxing. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

With a subscriptions on your account you can play up to lv. 110, with out have to buy the game now - and then later buy the BFA expansion.

I am running on a pretty old machine these days. I7-3770k and a GTX 660 TI.
I set the graphics all the way down (it still looks good), and on the non main accounts I use this ingame setting /console set renderscale 0.4, to revert it back to normal you can change it to 1 instead of 0.4 or mess around with that number, it helps further squeak out extra frames but looks like a potato.
I'll upgrade one day, but this has made it less of a need.
