Default Class help: AoE Pally + ...?

    Hi everyone,

I have a 33 prot pally (link ). I have a second (and third) account that I'd like to create a character on to help him AoE gind. Here are the classes I'm considering.

Druid - Thorns with Brambles means the mobs fall faster. Plus, druids have some of the best HoT heals in the game.
Mage - No healing (maybe firstaid?), but the AoE Blizzard will surely take down the mobs quickly.
Priest - Best healer. Can run in and spam holy nova if needed.

Right now, I'd only like to dual box. I don't think my system can handle three wow instances, plus I don't have the monitor space. Given this, what do you think would be the best class to choose here? I'm looking to take on as many mobs as possible with the least amount of downtime.

    Thanks.

ps: This pally is my main. Years ago I had a lvl 35 hunter on alliance, but I've long since deleted him. So, I'll be looking forward to playing both of these classes at 70.

    I'd go Priest myself.

    /castsequence ,Holy Nova

will give you nova every 2nd time you cast for a little less of a mana drain on priest. Other than that, just play it like you would with a solo tankadin, but knowing you can really push your limits because you've got a pocket healer.

I think Warlock Hellfire is *the* highest AoE ability.
So...Warlock hellfire + Priest Holy Nova.

But...I would go with Mage + Priest just due to mage CC. Polymorph beats out the utility of a warlock in a group slightly. A warlock brings a lot to the table though, soulstone, healthstone, summoning, pets, etc.

On my 5-man team I have my AoE setup to Arcane Explosion on the mage, Hellfire on the warlock, Consecrate on the Pally and Holy Nova on the priest. The healing from the Holy Nova really helps when your clothies draw aggro during an AoE and in PvP it helps get rid of those pesky melee that keep getting into my group. Nothing funnier than a melee beating on your clothies and you start AoEing and they see their health drop and try to run away and get owned by the range on Arcane Explosion.

You need CC with a prot pally? O.o

AE is nice, though. Suvega's mages love to go all out after I've picked the mobs up with my pally.

I'd go pally/priest, or even pally/druid/priest -- you can respec the priest to shadow for a mana battery (my favorite), or go lolsmite and try to holy nova to get surge of light procs.
