Default [BFA] I want to start fresh. If you could pick 3 classes to play, which would you choose...?

    Hey folks,

Kind of deciding to switch servers from my dead RP server to a more populated one. Tempted to leave all toons behind apart from on to transfer over with banks/gold etc.

Thinking of maximum 3 teams of 5, all same class to start but who knows later....

Possibly going with 5 x Hunter, 5 x Paladin and then either Druids or Warlocks....

    Does anyone have any recommendations?

    Cheers

They are redoing the threat in BfA and rumor has it that it will be like a permanent skittish affix.

Too early to tell but running 5 tanks keeps sounding better and better.

Well If I was going to do 3 teams on a new realm, then I would have gone, Dks, hunters, druids or even paladins,

I really wanted to go with afflication locks but the big nerfs on drain life and your healthstone might no be good with doing dungeons ;(

    Cheers guys.

With everything I'm reading, I may be tempted to run 3 instead of 5. That way I can see if I can pick up a separate tank and healer.

Been looking at the Island Expeditions but it looks like they're a pet/mount/AP grind with no actual loot....

    Still not sure haha

1st xpac am not looking forward to

i might do three still for the "boxing" feeling.

    ....

my head is all over the place

i just wonted to say there going to link a LOT of realms. with the removal of pvp and rp-pvp you might end up with a few good realms where you are

I have no idea what perma-skittish would accomplish.

On a tangentially related note, back when I multiboxed DAoC, there was a spell mages had called confuse. My friends and my chars would gather up into a circle about 20 yards in diameter and keep confuse up on a mob, which would cause it to switch aggro about every 2-3 seconds. It would ping-pong back and forth across the circle very rarely reaching someone long enough to hit them. Was pretty hilarious until they implemented diminishing returns on it.

Skittish is simply 80% reduction to tank player's threat generation. At base a tank does 900% increased threat. That equals to 10 times (10x) threat generated.

That means 1 damage from tank=10 threat.

Threat modifier from skittish is -80%, 0.2*10=2. So with skittish you only do 2x threat.
Basically a DPS can do up to 2x damage what tank does to a target without pulling aggro.

This is bringing back some weird deja vu.

One sunder, two sunder, ok we can start attacking now.

Not a huge fan of threat being an issue but I do see the purpose where it is way over the top currently. Being able to do one swipe of aoe and you have almost permanent threat and just kite the trash.
In any event this is something that will help boxing > regular players because we can regulate our threat across the board easily. For everyone else if its not tuned right will be a nightmare.

Yeah, I get the mechanical application, what I don't understand is how changing this as noted would provide increased fun for players across encounter/instance types.

For those of you that raided back in Ye Olden Days, if a tank lost aggro, would it run around and one-shot everyone but tanks?
