special races - easiest path to get?

Looking at coming back some point - probably before BfA, and eyeing going Alliance instead of Horde.
If I have a team of 110's on Horde, and I'd like to be playing Void Elf's instead.
Do I need to level an entire team to 110 on Alliance and complete the pre-req's or can I leverage anything on the Horde side?
Seems kind of daunting to do all that work on alliance characters just to switch to the actual race I'd want to play.

All achievements required to unlock Allied Races are BNet-wide, and are not faction specific.

don't you need 110 on the side/server you wanna play?? to open the questline
