Thread: noob help

    Default noob help

I am brand new to multiboxing, and I just got everything set for a team of five. But when I have them on follow and try to fly from place to place, follow is broken by multiple toons in a matter of seconds. I have graphics way down on all instances, and my computer isnt the best but not the worst. (ryzen 7 3ghz radeon 580 8gb and 16 gb ram using ssd also) I tried this once before in WOD and didn't have this same issue. Is there something i can do besides lowering graphics to help? I had fps set to 60 foreground and 60 background, and also tried 60 fore and 30 back. I am using hotkeynet to broadcast and a hotkey script for spamming macros. Sorry if this is handled somewhere else

Well if you use a main like a dk or paladin and the others arent, chances are they dont have the passive 20 prosent speed increase. This will make the slaves loose follow after like 10 secs or so.

If this is the case i would advise to switch your main or get other slaves.

Way back i tried to lower my slaves to under 20 fps background, but that seemed to make them loose follow even faster. Havent had issues when 25-30.

Also make sure they have bought the same flight speed from the trainer.

thanks I'm using a combo of mages and warlocks. The only racially different one is the leader who is human, the rest are gnomes.

Maybe you have gear with the speed stat on, or a talent on your main that makes it walk / fly faster. I belive the addon named advanced interface options allow you to view how much of every stat you have when you go to the character screen. So you atleast can troubleshoot that.

Also in warlord of draenor there is a stone you can talk to..that gives a buff. Go to the garrison and check the buff of all the toons. Read the tooltips. Maybe some of them have it.

Does this also happen if you enter a 5man or old raid btw, where you have very high fps? (I assume). If you enter new dalaran and quickly try to fly around when its busy.. very few setups wont break follow usually. Just have to take it a bit slowly if thats the case.

The only assumption I can make from this statement is that you're broadcasting your movement keys to every game client, which you should not be doing.

unfortunately no, no movement keys. This is while flying with the mouse using /follow

Are your other clients experiencing short freezes when this happens perhaps? Doesn't sound like there is anything that you're doing particularly wrong, but it does seem odd that they would break so easily when you're just flying in a straight line not involving going over phase lines and not sending anything to the non-focused game windows.

I guess we could take a look at your HKN script, but I'm not sure what we could hope to find.

I guess I missed that part in your original post. So, then...

Are you trying to fly through an area that is heavily phased?
Do all of your characters have the same flight license?
