Thread: noob help

if you know there is a phase line, send your main in first, wait a few seconds and then follow again. The reason they go ape shit is because they are all phasing across at almost the same time.

It's why there is a delay now in Jamba for taking flight points.

Dunno how much this may help...as you may have already tried all these

but a few addon suggestions to help like

Jamba... and make sure team is set to follow under team ....and always strobe on master under team options follow...and hit the push settings button to all toons
monkey speed to see each toon speed max

    Video on screen usage(non addon)
    Riva Tuner/MSI afterburner...for Nvidia cards

My killer network app shows only 5% of my PC traffic is WoW

Can also check your router to make sure your PC is getting the highest priority and the WoW port traffic is set to best QoS quality of service...especially if there are others sharing network in house and streaming/downloading frequently while you are playing

That said crossing zone lines cause follow to fail and taking off flying from the ground and from water still cause issues with 5 toons on one PC for me...

The toons followed better when they flew slower...ie with just the first agonizing slow flight license speed

I have much better luck splitting them 3 and 2 and using 2 PCs...running them at a 3 setting generally pushing 80-90% video on main

Some people have 10 toons on 1 PC...so I've read so your mileage may vary...but I am using SLI dual video with a SSD and a killer network card meant for gaming on my main and stopped running 5 on it...just my main 3 when using mixed tank/healer/DPS and other 2 dps on laptop

Are your 5 toons on the same realm? As far as i know, some ppl make their toons on different realms (usually for farming purposes) and that might be the problem here.

Characters on different realms shouldn't cause issues. After all the team will all be on the same CRZ once they are grouped anyway.

Actually, there is a latency that is different depending which 2 realms are crossed. I am getting those issues pretty often, since im farming a lot and on many different realms.

Well I suppose that is true and probably more pronounced in EU. In US there is very little latency difference for whether I am on an East Coast server (where I live) or a West Coast Server. Latency is definitely an issue when I'm playing my main and get CRZd to an Oceanic server so I can see your point.

I've found there to be 20 to 70ms difference between coasts. Servers in Europe are much closer together.

No worries we all make mistakes
I just realized that instead of visiting the flighttrainer, its possible to mount up and then hover the mousecursor over the mountbuff. Should state which speed it has. So you can compare vs your main character if need be.

Can also use an addon like DejaCharacterStats to show your movement speed which will also include things like Paladin/DK mount buffs, guild perk, etc.
