maybe your internet speed cant handle it?
Last resort i guess would be:
Start of all your 5 games.
Create a macro on toon 2-5: /follow nameoftoonnumber1
If you mount up and then press the button, can you fly around using toon nr 1 without them breaking follow then?
30/30 ms
i have 100mb ethernet connection it should be enough i think...i did this a little bit in WOD on an older computer and slower connection and didn't have this problem
One other thing that I can think of is there a guild perk that gives mounted speed increase.
I had the same issue when my toons didn't have the last riding skill (master riding), but my master toon had it, so the master was moving a bit faster than the rest of them and that was breaking the follow pretty often. So, make sure you've got that on all your toons.
Thanks I checked and I do have it all. I Wonder if it would help if instead of having them all follow the master, if i had one follow master and next one follow him and so on.
If your team follow works without issues when you are walking and running, and they only loose follow when you try to speed away on your ground and or flying mount, and it still doesnt work after all the above suggestions, then im clueless right now.
The game has some garbage phasing breakpoints in places like Dalaran where you temp phase on several toons thus losing sight and follow. It's actually the most annoying thing in WoW for multiboxing and why so many of us are clamoring for 5 man mounts (passenger mounts historically have fixed this issue for us).
You really can't do anything other than knowing where the phase breakpoints are, stopping for a moment and then hit the follow button again. If that's your problem then I sympathize. Otherwise it's probably latency.
