Free-for-All Looting Issue

Is anyone else having problems with FFA looting while doing regular instance runs? I'm currently leveling a 5x pally team, and FFA doesn't work at all. It says it's set to FFA, but it's acting like Group Loot is the only option. This is super frustrating. Can't find any real info on it either. (I've changed the settings manually using /group and then /ffa, but this doesn't do a damn thing.)

I experienced this issue as well. I left it as group loot but changed all my toons to pass on loot, then I was able to pick up stuff with my main toon.

But more recently jamba seems to set it to FFA for me somehow

There is (was?) an option in Jamba to "automatically set loot to FFA" with a sub-option of "unless not in friends list or guild" or something similar. If you don't want it to do that, you can disable that option.
