I guess the main reason why blizzard added "interact with target" in wotlk was to make it easier to talk to NPCs. Not sure how it is nowadays on retail but on older Xpacs it often happend that some NPCs were so crowded with players that it was quite hard to right click on these NPCs to talk to them. Some ppl were even intentional staying with their fat mount inside the NPC so nobody can talk to him.
On Vanilla u have to talk to the NPC in order to queue for BGs so I guess there will also be this NPC blocking issue.
So maybe there is hope that they will add IWT as a quality of life additions to vanilla which would make melee boxing possible.
I think they will also add dual-spec as a quality of life addition.
Anyone remember Xzin?
I remember I started boxing in vanilla. Clicking back and forth between screens. I think I used all macros. I had a pocket healer in tow. Can't wait to see how Classic plays out and if we can box it.
Earthen Ring - Horde - 7 boxing
Cuddle Buddies - 4DK, 1 Holy Paladin, 1 Disc Priest, and 1 Resto Shaman | Armory 5v5 Cuddle Buddies
ex Kilrogg - Horde
Team Acid Wuvablez - 4DK + 1 holy pally | Acidburning, Crashohvride, Acidloves, Acidhugs, & Acidcuddles | Armory 5v5 Love You Bye Bye
ex Garona - Horde
Team Acid Dessert - Quad Shaman | Acidcake, Acidfudge, Acidicecream, & Acidmoarprz
Team Acid Hackers - DK + 3 Rets | Acidburning, Crashohvride, Ceralkillah, & Loardnikon
They added IWT for folks with disabilities and I expect them to keep all the 'disabled persons' assists in the game because that is what Blizzard is now (inclusive, not exclusive). This may have been one the hurdles they solved.
The early version of IsBoxer was just 3 apps with configuration files that we had to manually edit and that was during BC. Seeing the progression of ISBoxer over so many years has been a joy. I remember when Lax first posted on this forum he was not particularly welcomed.
I saw Xzin on my server during vanilla and immediately wanted to do THAT. I boxed 8 accounts in EQ1 with multiple pc's/keyboards and wanted to do that with WoW. I only had 3 accounts in vanilla and manually boxed them. My first 'team' was in BC and I used Keyclone, like a lot of folks did.
I would love to see classic WoW with the classic environment/dungeons/raids but with the modern backbone. 64 bit exe, current generation Lua script, DX11 etc
