Default Sense of what is/isn't a ToS/EULA violation

I'm considering coming back to Eve, but after the debacle at the beginning of 2015, I'm a little skeptical. Anyone feel comfortable sharing what they're doing and how they're accomplishing it without getting banned?

I'm specifically interested in whether or not DxNothing windows and/or VFX feeds are being treated as violations, and also sending keys to windows that are not focused, via round robin or otherwise.

For reference, all 20 of my accounts were suspended in February or March of 2015 using the setup as below, having never used any repeater actions after the change:

    No key/mouse broadcasting. No VidFX.

What about sending a key to a window in the background? Say, if I press F1 in window 1, and ISBoxer sends that to window 2 instead?

Also, to clarify, how do we/you know that VideoFX are verboten?

As long as you aren't sending keys to multiple windows simultaneously, you're fine.

Also, to clarify, how do we/you know that VideoFX are verboten?

Whether or not they can actually detect you using it is another discussion entirely. If you do decide to go for it, do so at your own risk.

Big fan of your vids mosg

Damn shame CCP banned input broadcasting, the setups were genius and it was really fun for me as i was just starting to get into the multiboxing

As carbs said, no input broadcasting and i personally do not feel comfortable using VFX.

I was banned sometime after the change using round robin to lock and shoot targets, so afaik they have a way to determine either: sending input to unfocused windows, or comparing speed to determine that your input method isn't "normal"

I'll caution against using round robin 100%
VFX is debatable as someone else may argue but i'm not for it.
Using Isboxer to send inputs to other clients when focused on a different client is not something i would recommend either..
See #4 in the link carbs sent out.

Personally i'm in your boat, been banned once so next one is permanent if i remember correctly - hence i don't use ISBoxer at all

Currently running vanguards without any 3rd party programs using windows 10 desktop switching, 5-7 minute site clears without ISBoxer

E: Rewatched your video, did you get banned for this setup or the setup where you scrolled your mouse wheel and activated all your missile launchers before?
    Maybe the green guns button?
13:00 on your vid, scare tactics indeed worked for me :\

Well, based off the link that Carbs posted, there's no question that VFX are off-limits. I guess there's a little wiggle room with respect to a DxNothing window that has the VFX feeds from the different game clients, but I'm certain they'd consider that to be an in-game advantage, hence disallowed.

I got banned for the setup in the video. As I said when they first announced the changes, I'm sure they're looking for any multiboxing that's just too efficient. So even if they can't identify that you're using VFX, they sure can tell that it's too fast for them. Sending clicks to windows in the background is also probably just too fast. It's frustrating, but what're you gonna' do?

I'm still up in the air. It seems dangerous, and since you can't log in more than one alpha per computer, there's no way to dip your feet into it and see what happens. Sigh lol.

Their UI is such a cluster fuck when considering multiple clients but condensing it down to a usable format is an in-game advantage.

You posted 2 other videos after the one you linked in this thread, in the multiboxing magic vid you had a few click button (name??) where you activate it, then mousewheel down to send commands to select clients via round robin.
VFX aside, i think this is what got you banned, because on their server side logs youd have a sudden bunch of input across a few different clients very very quickly.

its not so much that vidfx is not allowed as is making 'cutouts' is. There was a lot of discussion when this was posted, and more or less its fine to use window management as long as it is the entire client being shown (i.e. scaled down clients on the bottom of the screen.)

Yeah I'm sure the mousewheel spin is what got me, plus the VFX.

Interesting, Carbs. I wonder how efficient a tiled setup of 10-20 accounts would be on a 40" TV or something like that.
