Default Computer Build [2017] Hardware Overview

Alright, so my current build is considered finished, and so I made a video about everything I'm running (because I know some people are interested in that). It's just a show-off video, and you're under no obligation to watch it.

Very nice. You, like many in this community, have taken elements of gaming to an art form that is both unique and inspiring. Well done sir.

I really enjoyed the video MiRai. Good to see you in a t-shirt I am in absolute awe over how professional you are at building pc's and creating videos.

Thanks. It's more or less the result of the project getting out of hand, and being well beyond the point of "fk it."

Thanks. The video was an attempt at a more hands-on approach with using actual cameras, rather than just dealing with desktop capture. There were several areas where I would've liked to have done a re-shoot, but obviously that's a bit difficult with the components being locked into the machine at that point, and so I had to just use what I had.

And, if you're lucky, you might get to see more of the shirt now that the colder months are coming.

Also, for those of you who are waiting for the post-video videos, I should have, at least, one out this week.

First hardware talk video is done, and I discuss why I chose X99 over the other platforms that were available.

You'll need to save both your money, as well as your sanity.

Added another Hardware Talk video to the original post where I talk (at a great length) about using a capture card—both what it solved for me, as well as what I had to figure out along the way.

Eh, they're not as fragile/finicky as they once were. If you're even a little bit mechanically inclined, you shouldn't have any trouble unless you're the "I DON'T NEED NO STEENKEENG MANUALS!" type.
    Now playing: WoW (Garona)
