Thread: IWT Issues?

    Default IWT Issues?

    Hello,

So in the past, people have said that running an all melee group was troublesome because the IWT would sometimes wig out and cause your team to run all over the place, is that a Blizzard issue or a ISBoxer issue? Is it even still an issue?

I was thinking of running an all DK team but really dont want the hassle of the IWT thing if its still that big a deal?

    Thoughts?

It happens because of latency and the client-server relationship, and whether or not it's a "big deal" is dependent on how you have things set up and how well you handle it. If it completely crippled melee teams, then people wouldn't be as successful with them as they are.

Ok, thats fair. Other then spamming the IWT function, I can't think of other ways to handle it. I will get a team setup tonight and see how it goes.

Is it different for pets versus players? I never hear anything about pets classes having issues with their pets not attacking the target.

    Thanks for the reply!

Not spamming it and having it on a manual keybind rather than it being built in to your rotation is the other option. Both have their benefits and downsides. Personally I default to IWT spam and just have a separate mapped key for sending my "backpeddle" key to my melee toons so I can stop them from swarming on the target or running off. I however also have a way of turning IWT spam off in case some encounter requires more finesse.

Pets moving to their targets has nothing to do with IWT and Click to Move (that I know of anyways).
