10 boxing on one computer, I don't think is really doable, but you can try.

    You want:

    1 skull trail motherboard
2 9770 intel quad core extreme processors
    at least 8-16gb of ram
    vista premium
    2 * 9800gx graphics cards

4 monitors. (thats the most you can drive.

    That should be good imo
Sounds like a fun challenge to build one PC that can 10 box. Skulltrail is the first thing that popped into my mind as well but its not very future proof (8GB max mem support, pci-e 1.1 instead of 2.0 and DDR2 instead of DDR3). That being said I guess it's still your only option so you have those 8 cores to work with.

You guys dont think you can drive 8 monitors off of 2 8800 Ultras using DVI splitter cables? Run each at a lower res to reduce the strain ( mabey 1024x768 ).
I was under the assumtion that the DVI Splitters only duplicate the same image to another screen *Y splitters that is, not the Matrox*

Two high end computers with two videocards each.

    850W psu mimimum each

One uber high end computer with four videocards?

    1200W psu minimum probably.

If electricity is a problem, the difference between one pc with four videocards or two with two each isn't that differently, especially since graphic cards are probably most intensive in that area in the entire comp.

I based the amounts on guesses, I have no realtime experience with a godly rig like that, but if space the only real problem, then chuck down a wall or something. xD

Two pc's will probably function loads better.

DARN !!! ... when i tried to cash the lottery ticket they said i had to be older than 18 to 'gamble'!!!
    And can I say. "oops"?

    O_o

Couldn't someone else cash it for you? :P

And did you pay for the ticket? I mean, it's THEIR job to verufy age, if they didn't then you are probably in your right to receive the prize.

For 20k? Have somebody over 18 to legally change their name to yours? Lol. I have no idea. They will not pay out if you are under 18. Wait until you become 18? No idea.

Skulltrail can do 4x x8 PCIe slots. You could pair that up with some wicked video cards and have a go at it. I still think 2 computers is a better option though but with 2x quad cores, you might BARELY be able to do it. This would be a nearly 10k computer, not counting the monitors.

As long as you don't SLI, you can use 3-4 9800gx2s. That would be 2 monitors per card.

Remember for a single monitor, you can only use 2 gx2 cards, and the skulltrail doesn't support quad sli. So, basically you can't have more then one card for one monitor in that mb.

Ok, just curious, what do you mean the ticket has your name on it? Lotto tickets do not include a name on the due to the fact that they are given away as gifts and such and if they were locked to just one person then the individual who bought the ticket would suffer the tax ramifications for the recipient which would not be justifiable.( at least that is how it works in NY) Are you sure your name is on it?
