Default Building a rig supporting 8 monitors... need help

I don't know how to do this or what it would require, i been thinking about buying two, two monitor Video-Cards, each with Y-see two Dual Monitor Adapter and a Viewport™ Computer Video Adapter, and then just praying it would work as i have no knowlegde of how its works what-so-ever.

    Thanks in advance

    ummm... carefully?

on, seriously... you'll need enough graphics cards (4) to support the 8 monitors.. and then the power supply to power the boards.

hopefully one of the hardware geeks will chime in (posting this in hardware might be better... but its a toss up)

8 monitors to do 2d desktop or 3d gaming? The costs and setup change dramatically either way.

You can try NVIDIA Quadro NVS 440 not sure if you can play WOW on it though. If it can, then you can buy 2 of this and you have 8 monitors on 1 computer. No harm sending an email to Nvidia support to ask about it.

I have a old matrox MMS200 Quad series video card and it can't play WOW, it is good for 2D.

If you are wanting to 10 box, you need, at minimum, 2 computers. Assuming this is disposable income, you only need to spend perhaps 7 - 8k on 10 boxing. Possibly even cheaper if you go the software route. But do your research before you buy anything. The matrox cards or triple heads to go or simply cramming 4 video cards into a nearly any machine would by and large be a disaster.

some people will play 5 accounts across 2 monitors... 1 in one screen and 4 in another... and others will play 5 on 1 monitor... getting a single 30" or larger screen might be preferable... or maybe the 30" with a 22" for browsing while playing

20,000 or 20,000,000? If the latter, don't forget to pay of a couple of GMs so the last mob you kill to Ding 70 drops Full Tier 6 + weapon, rings and stuff for every spec of your toon. Maybe a 20,000 or so gold as well.
