Synergy setup between mac's

A lot of the how-to's and information here are all based around windows, which I don't have (bleh). A lot of the help I've found is targeted at the customized version of Synergy (Multibox I think its called?) but thats been modified to not be cross-platform like Synergy and is available only in exe form. Drats!

My question is - does anyone have any information between keyboard sharing between two macs short of getting hardware to do it for me? And if I need to get hardware what would be suggested that would be compatible with macs (or does it not matter on the hardware level).

I have synergy working already, have been using it for a couple of years between all of my boxes but from what I can tell the stock synergy2 doesn't support keyboard broadcasting.
