Follow up note...I'd kinda refrain from replying in Chinese, Online Translators are notoriously bad and that's simply something that can't be changed without human interaction based on emotions and how things are said. Better to just tell 'em you're English-speaking rather than make 'em think you know the language, possibly getting into a Translator war with some griefer trying to be self-righteous and catch a goldfarmer bot.

Besides, English is, stating possible fact rather than assumption/American bias, the most commonly learned language in the world right now; how well it's learned varies, but while learning other languages is optional here, everywhere else tends to learn English(hell Japan has English classes in their normal schools now and integrates it into their language/ads occasionally, usually yielding funny results lol) as a common medium; maybe you'll get lucky and he'll have English as a 2nd language and he'd understand you then :p
