    Default Zanthor's Quest Broadcaster (Beta)

This mod simply makes your minions follow your party leaders choices on selecting quests and gossip options. AceComm is required, I didn't include it in this package as I haven't made itthat far and have a dozen other apps that include the lib...

You STILL have to open the NPC but once there just make the quest selections on the leader and the minion follows. The idea for this came from the fact that I often have no problems opening the NPC in my 1/8th sized screen but quite often have a hard time following the right quest selections. This way I right click 5 times, back to the main and pick the quest I want, they all get and accept it.

    New in Version Beta 1:
    Quest Turn In Following
    Flight Point Following
Quest Reward Selection - NOTE: DO NOT USE THIS IF YOU DON'T WANT THE SAME ITEM. Simply open the quest npc 1 player at a time.

    ToDo:
Broadcast error states (IE: Inventory full, quest log full, etc)
    Hook AcceptQuest() for shared quests.
Setup configuration to toggle any / all of these features through a menu.

    Update 0.2
    Applied fixes by Wougoose (here)

This is definitely working with lowbie quests now as I've used it to level my shamans from 1-63 and my locks from 1-29.

    Required Dependancies:
    Libs\AceLibrary\AceLibrary.lua
    Libs\AceOO-2.0\AceOO-2.0.lua
    Libs\AceAddon-2.0\AceAddon-2.0.lua
    Libs\AceDB-2.0\AceDB-2.0.lua
    Libs\AceConsole-2.0\AceConsole-2.0.lua
    Libs\AceEvent-2.0\AceEvent-2.0.lua

I had requested access to the ACE SVN so this could be updated via the ace updater but no one ever got back with me... I suppose it's time to chase that down again...

    Zanthor,

Can I publish this on the wiki under community addons? http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/inde...velopment_Area

Can I also upload the source code text?

@Majestic any ideas on how we can host some addons?

    Absosmurfly.

I'll be adding it to the ace svn once I figure out how they run their system there.

There's a lot of potential in using the add-on communications channel to coordinate actions between your main and clones. I've been working on something similar for reprogramming macros on the fly, to switch between a PvE and PvP default totem loadout for instance.

One concern in security. Each toon should have a list of other toons that they trust and are willing to accept commands from. Otherwise any random player could send a command to take some action. Not a big deal for Zanthor's mod yet as the actions are pretty benign. The worst that could happen is probably a denial of service attack by forcing you to run a bogus command over and over. Perhaps if this takes off we could work on an Ace lib for coordinating multibox identity.

If you are grouped with a random player you deserve to be pwnt.

My mod communicates in the group channel only.

Hmm...for some reason, mine worked for the first quest dialog and hasn't worked since. Lemme try relogging and see if that fixes it.

[edit] Yep, can only turn in one quest, then it bugs. /console reloadui doesn't fix it, either.

[edit2] Hmm...strange. Just bugged and wouldn't let me select the quest but it clicked the accept button for me.

    Zanthor,
Can't seem to get this to work at all for me. I installed the addon in all of the addon folders of my clients. All of my clients have the required ACE lib "AceComm". Is there some configuration I need to do to get it to work? Could really use this addon for a few SSO dailies.

Ok, I've been using this non stop since I wrote it, I was surpised when I came back here to find other folks having problems with it functioning. I'll upload the current revision shortly...

Question: Do you understand how this works...

You open the quest npc by right clicking on all your characters. Then the party leader picks the quest, the party members with the mod installed should mimic that choice.
