    Hm too bad. Being able to misdirect a pet which can survive for a while is crucial for doing dungeons with hunter-teams.
    What about distracting shot, is it still left in Legion? Read somewhere that you can make it a MD-similar ability with a glyph.

    I hadn't been on alpha in a while.. MD is there now with a 30 sec cooldown.. it directs threat for 8 seconds... tooltip says to any party or raid member, but atm it is working on the pet. If you go the legion testing forums though hunters are still saying the threat is terribad and that threat only directs to 1 mob, while the rest chase the hunter!

    Distracting shot isn't there... spirit bond has gone but exhilaration is baseline now on a 2 min cd - cobra shot now costs focus.

    Binding shot, wyvern sting and intimidation are on the same row of talents... and traps are gone. Aspects are for 9 secs on a 3 min cooldown, aspect of the Turtle deflect all attacks and reduce dmg by 30% for 8 secs but you can't attack, aspect of the cheetah move 90% faster for 3 secs, then 30% for 9 secs, and aspect of the wild gives 10 focus per sec for 10 secs and 10% crit chance on all abilities for 10 secs.

    Kill command and bestial wrath are still there, as is multi-shot with beast cleave. Feign death is there with 30 sec cd also.

    Stuff changes so much it's impossible to tell what the final state will be.. but having nothing to spam as focus generator (as dire beast is now the focus generator on a 10.8 sec cd unless you take Chimaera shot in talents - 10 focus for every target hit - max 2 targets ) is a real annoying play style... once you use all your cooldowns it's auto-shot until DB is off cd.

    Thanks for the details of how hunter is looking at the moment in Alpha, very interesting

    Since you mentioned that misdirecting a pet which could take a beating would not work in Legion, I decided to try Auchindoun mythic with my hunters, without "Tanky".

    It's more about the beating you may take with pet threat being so ropey.. with the md to pet glyph now gone I think 30 sec cd on MD to be too long. I have boxed since TBC and Hunters have usually had a spot in my team - quite often as tank/dps , with a few all Hunter teams. If I am honest though hunts in their current state on live are far too op.. being able to run without a tank or healer isn't what the devs had in mind..I may be wrong, but I think that's all about to change.

    When questing as a Pally tank it takes forever to kill mobs, they also felt a lot squisher. I could go on, but survivability and self healing have taken a huge hit for all classes. On a positive note Legion looks to be giving boxers a much needed challenge.. I miss the dying a lot in TBC

    Watched your vid - take off the buffs and don't use traps.. you wouldn't be standing alive long in Legion mythic. New modes are coming to mythic too like 2 random debuffs, constant aoe dmg or healing reduction..bigger boss/mob healthpools.

    Seems like Legion overall will be tougher. But that may also be a case of that we simply can outgear the current mythic dungeons - they have been around for a while and was probably harder when ppl did not have legendary rings which just nukes everything in sight. I mean now i can simply output more dps on a boss(easy bosses like the ones in Auch) than the boss can do to my hunters, so yea as you say there will be nice with a challenge.

    Don't get why they remove the traps also, I mean hunters use traps. Anyway I could probably do Auch without the traps, either with some risky binding shots to control the packs, or simply wyvern sting them and take them 1 at a time (which is kinda boring).
    As we know hunters are OP atm, which is probably the reason I chose it as my main, and then created 4 more of them.. :P Will have to enjoy the time and adapt later in Legion, see if i try some new class.
    Btw, don't we get anything new fun to work with in legion?

    With all the changes my interest has only been in bm, other spec has no pet, one is melee with pet. Tried both and hated them. Making focus generation revolve around dire beast feels wrong, and I find it boring to play. Many who have mained bm since forever want this changing, as do I. I have zero interest in them in their current state.. Tbh they went too far. Some changes for classes were needed, like the removal of chi for mistweaver monks.

    Hmm, we will see which spec will be the most fun and best at the release. Personally I have never liked BM very much, it never had the same burst of big shots like MM. And having to rely on your pet for dps is not something I'm a fan of either.
