A VERY quick cut of some SM GY runs done AoE style No sound, no elegant editing work. Just a quick example of how viable 4 locks 1 priest are for AoE leveling.

All of my gear was red (I was naked) and no buffs except for soulstone

Full Destro talents.... the stuns help a little.

Oh... worth mentioning.

Pitbull module called Interact lines. Not so sure I love em yet but they show graphically damage and heals - to whom and from whom.

the interaction lines aren't very effective in this interface

i've seen a raid commander interface that runs off dual screen with the second screen displaying raid member interactions. it's quite nifty.

I tend to agree.... they are a nice sort of background peripheral notification but they wind up being a bit distracting.

Nice video, how did you do the real-time encoding with VLC?

Open up VLC, start the Wizard, Transcode/Save to file, and so on. Haven't gotten it to work perfectly yet. I'd love to be able to capture some Zwok action but that's not DirectDraw or D3D or OpenGL. Hrm.

Pretty much yeah. VLC is amazing at transcoding.

You will want to tweak the settings somewhat to use your codec and determine the size you want, make sure the resulting display is off so you don't render it twice, etc.

Just to be clear...you still use fraps to capture the vid right? Then have VLC transcode that vid to new file?

Nah, this sounds like a straight out of VLC thing to me, hence mentioning the size of tens of megabytes instead of hundereds like the stuff FRAPS produces for barely half a minute.
