    Default Xkeys programming question

So I recently brought both an Xkey pro and the foot pedal thingie. I am still not 100% sure how I am going to fit these into my setup, but one thing is for sure, I am fast running out of keys on my standard keyboard and I will need to introduce new input devices. I am currently lvl 46 and its already getting out of hand.

So before I decide on my setup I have been playing around with options.

My thought with the foot pedal was to use it as a modifier. I already headily use <shift> and <alt> and even <ctrl> in combination numbers and other easy to hit keys around WASD. My thought was if I could use the foot pedal as another modifer, something obscure, then I could use the keys that I am cofortable over again with a foot press.

Now I have been playing around with MacroWorks , reading the help files and forums and I cannot work out how to make an xkey work as a modifier :S

So if any of you xkey users out there use an xkey like I am aiming to, can you please tell me the trick, if there is one. Or even better just tell me im stupid.

Note the foot pedal is just the same as any xkey. So no difference.

    Thanks in advance.

OK the X-keys pro has 2 layers, you might be able to set one of the pedals to toggle layers for you (it can be a held or toggled switch)

otherwise surely you just bind RALT RCTRL and RSHIFT to buttons ont he xkeys?

I have shift, ALT and Control bound to the bottom centre row of my X-Keys Pro, this lets me use the 2nd from top row for my druids heals each key is a different char and the modifiers are the different spells.

I finally got around to looking into my xkeys pro setup, choosing my layout, printing most of my key caps and setting all the keybinds. In doing so I have discovered my problem which I tried to describe above. What I want is to have an xkey operate as a standard keyboard key press. By default xkeys send the macro key once and once only. You can try putting a repeat on and even a very fast repeat, however what I am looking for is a key held down not repeated. An example of why I would want to do this beyond the example I gave in my original post is having my team move into a formation. For this you need to bind the xkey, to move forward, backwards, strafe, whatever you required for your formation, then hold the keybind down and watch the magic happen as your team move into formation. This will not work with xkeys as it only send the command a single time. If anyone has come against this problem and has an answer please let me know.
