I've got several amulets on Season 3, not sure if it's plain RNG or the drops are better. Those were the best so far. As for Meteor vs Hydra, there's a consdierable difference in DPS imo. Sure Hydras fire alone, but that won't help much cause the stacks need refreshing anyway, so u can't just forget about them for more than a few seconds. With Tal's, once u hit with your 4 elements and all 4 meteors land, there's a long cooldown of 8 seconds u will have to wait in order to reset the cycle.

Most of the time u are prolly at max Arcane, casting a signature spell that does no damage, just waiting to reset the cycle. With Meteor, that's not the case. Once u get your third stack, u just consume all your arcane power with meteors and watch them burn. By the time my 4 stacks are gone, I have casted at least 4 additional meteors with the 600% Tal's bonus. The burst damage is very noticeable. I haven't done the math against Hydras, but I can tell just by looking at how fast elites die, its more damage. Sure, this is not a fair comparison since I have random ancient weapons vs just 1 Ancient Serpent Sparker. Maybe Hydra does more damage overall but u NEED Ancient Serpent Sparker + TnT + certain breakpoint. If u have all that, test and see what's better. If u dont, this seems to deal a LOT more damage than Hydras.
