Try lowering your background and foreground fps limits to 30. You are using the same CPU strategy that I am. I am running a far older i7-920 (one of the first gen ones) and a GTX 680. So my GPU is probably slightly better than yours but my processor is far worse. I run 24GB of memory though that shouldn't be the issue (I only have that much because of trying to run 5-6 copies of other games would fill up my previous 12gb of ram and I bought my ram in kits so I just picked up another 12gb kit to pair them).

Some other things you can do to increase performance is to lower your D3 settings. Turning sound channels down, settings the Low FX option on and whatnot. I don't care how super pretty D3 is because even on the best settings it is still not a realistic looking game, so turning down everything to minimums is fine for me. Your preferences may dictate otherwise.

my 8gb seems ok to handle 4-3 copies of d3, usually im playing with 3 copies + a mate of mine. I was wondering if there is any other fine tunes i could do to be smoother, what are the other settings ppl use? Maybe asign cpu strategy diferently ?
LE: Also if i lower more then 60 fps seems choppy and tooons de-sync abit.

It should only desync if you don't set foreground and background to both 30 fps. 30 fps shouldn't be choppy at all.

You won't be able to have 60fps even on main character with this hardware, sorry.

I have i7 4970k and 2x970 in SLI. In Diablo 3 video settings everything is on low. Active character locked at 60fps, background characters locked at 30fps. Still, in intense fights, FPS drops to low 50s on active character. Oh, that's in 2560x1440 resolution.

Most likely your video card is a bottleneck. Try making your windows smaller (change size in ISBoxer, open D3 video settings, Save) and see if it improves performance.

On other hand, if you can get stable 30fps on active character - that's very playable.

Can i make my other screens with smaller resolution and sync? How? if so that would be sick.

I cap all my characters at the same fps. From what I have read on the Isboxer forums having your account run at different fps is what leads to desync, because the mouse broadcasting is fps based.

That's true, but on high enough FPS (30+) it no longer matter. When I tried to multibox on a notebook, 15 on background characters and 20 FPS on main had huge difference. 60 and 30 - can't even tell if I have desyncs.

Interesting info Joes. I may have to try it out and see how that works for me.

The same setup exactly. I run 4 stacked windows with a DxNothing layer for mini-maps when I'm running T6. I also use 2x80 GB SSD. I'm running 1980x1080 and I had to set graphics and textures to "Low" because my new team setup was doing a LOT of spell effects.

My framerate drops a little when I'm recording with ObsProject.
