Default Keyclone vs AutoHotKey

I'm relatively new to dual boxing and very new to 'multiboxing with input replicators'. I must admit, after purchasing a copy of keyclone and tripleboxing warlocks to level 10, I'm VERY impressed.

The biggest challenges that I find are movement. I have since disabled replication of movement keys, including the auto-run key, and this has helped greatly.

My current, unresolved challenge is combat movement. Mostly with 'not facing in the right direction' issues. Correcting this with respect to auto-follow's limitations, is really goofy and being on a pvp server, I feel that I might quickly get my trash kicked by even one player of the same level.

From what I've read about AutoHotKey, you can program set commands to run, allowing partial automation of movement. This is appealing to me in the sense that I need minor automation capabilites. An example would be to change facing left or right, or backwards.

My questions to Keyclone and AutoHotKey users:
-Are there any predefined key commands that you can specify, such as: hold left key for .5 seconds?
-Is there a way to remap one key to different key on the 'clone' machine(s).
-What are the capabilities/limitations on using a mouse with mutliple 'boxes' on the same computer?

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

This right there is why I don't recommend ANYONE to AHK. If you can write timed scripts in it I cannot support it.

In my view Rob has created one hell of a product in KeyClone. He supports it well, updates it regularly and listens to his customers.

For me its Keyclone or nothing.

AHK Lets you remapp keys.
I have capslock remapped to ctrl.

In this forum however, people are VERY pro Keyclone because it is developed by one of the members.
Asking for help will prolly result in "just use keyclone"
If you are willing to read the manual, ahk is quite simple.

I understand the risks to 'automated' game play.

I don't want to risk it, but I think that pushing a key to turn you 90 degrees is hardly what they consider 'automated'. If I were to write it to kill mobs and loot them, however, they would have my account banned pronto.

I understand that a LOT of users use AHK, and have small commands that 'reposition' the toon to ease certain situations.

My question still stands: Is this possible in keyclone? or any work arounds that are reasonable?

no its not possible in keyclone, because keyclone doesn't automate key presses.

You can't, script, a keypress to hold for 0.5 seconds so that you turn 90*.

But your keyboard will do that just fine with the left arrow key, no need for fancy scripts.

For myself, I like Keyclone because I don't read manuals. 8o

This is what happened on my first day.
1. Bought 4 more copies of WoW
2. Registered all of the copies
3. Bought Keyclone and registered
4. Made a character with each account
5. Loaded up Keyclone
6. Got into the starting zone for everyone
7. Pressed "1"... wow, "1" was pressed for all toons
8. Made a simple macro of "/follow and /assist main" for my alts
9. Started killing mobs and questing.

AHK would require me to read manuals and ask a lot of questions on how to use it.

And BTW, having Keyclone as a regular member here is a plus in my eyes.

To answer the OP, any delays is a no-no in Blizz's eyes. People were banned in doing something similar with other softwares that did the same thing. You can remap keys. Using the mouse simultaneously is going to hard to do, and I'm pretty sure most people don't. (this is assuming that you want to cast something like Blizzard from all of your toons at once using the mouse to select the region).

If I could cast multiple blizzards, I'd reroll them all mages in a heartbeat.

I think it's possible to copy the mouse if you're using other machines with keyclone... amirite?

I beg to differ. Most of the "bot" detection will be automated and it probably could care less if you are using it to move or using it to farm.

It is against the ToS and I advise you to delete this topic.

If your using multipule PCs I believe so. 1 PC though its not possible.

And there is an addon in the Macros and Addon forum that will help you with your mass blizzards MiniMap Ping - Castable AOE Spell Helper
