Macros with modifiers like alt or shift key

I have viewed a few postings in here but I cannot seem to find an answer. My question is I have a paladin macro that includes a line
"/cast [mod:shift] Divine Storm". However when isboxer addon is active I cannot use the shift key when banging on the macro. Am I missing something simple?

Add a mapped key with SHIFT+key and copy the same actions as the base key.
