    Default Coming back, healer question

Hey I'm coming back to wow to give it a multiboxing try after being away for about 3 years. Been boxing Rift and Lotro.

I'm putting together a new group and wondering about the healer. Seems I'm reading priest is best or easiest but then I'm also picking up that "smart healing" has changed with the WoD release. When I played solo before I used to love healing on my resto druid.

What would someone recommend as the best/easiest healer now? And is resto druid at all viable for mboxing?

If it matters I'm looking at a makeup of:

    Prot Pally
    Healer tbd
    Shaman
    Hunter
    Mage or Lock

(Any suggestions on general makeup would also be appreciated!)

    Thanks.

This seems like a solid team make up with either a resto druid or healing priest. I've only done mid-level 90 dungeons so far and priest has been fine, but at this point it is too early for me to say priests are the way to go. Disc priests were amazing last expansion but with the smart healing nerf I think they are far from the obvious choice.

Since we don't yet know which is good and which is bad, here are my thoughts on which to select with your group make up:

Priest pros: there are two healing specs. Chances are that both won't suck and with two options, one will likely be easier to box than the other. Even if both suck, you always have the option of speccing shadow and having the shaman go resto.
Druid pros: one heal spec, so if it sucks or is hard to box you are in trouble. Boomkin just won't put out competitive DPS boxing due to the auto shuffling balance bar without a lot of manual oversight. You still have another option - druid tank and pally heals, but I've not been terribly impressed with pally heal boxing in the past. The last option you could try would be druid tank, shammy heals, and ret pally DPS, but having one DPS melee and the others ranged is rather wonky.

Of course, if someone posts who is already doing heroics with a resto druid, the negatives about flexibility I've listed above are moot. Personally, I always try to give myself as many viable options as possible based on how challenging high level content can be.

Thanks for the input. I'm going to go with priest then and I'll scratch my Druid healing itch when I want to play solo.
