I became GM for a day

Hehe, it was indeed very cool to experience although i didn't had commands like .kill .die. additem and stuff, this strictly belongs to private servers afaik and have nothing to do with live servers.

I found a list of old wow beta commands which all players could use at that time, for example give money commands, etc. although no of the commands i tried worked. I also tried /console port <playername> which was working on the ttr's, but this command returned "You do not have permission blabla".

But i think there maybe was some actions i could take, although i didn't know how to use them.

I'm pretty sure you can only do GM "commands" from within the Blizzard IP range. Otherwise o.0

Hehe well, who knows...?

Although i really doubt that gamemasters use "dot" commands like on private servers.

I don't even think that a gamemaster would have much power, maybe there is different levels of what gamemasters are able to do.

Personally I'd have explored ssc/tk/bt, maybe hyjal, cuz I'm a lore whore and those're places I haven't seen all of yet :p Wouldn't kill anything though or screw with levels cuz then I could get in trouble rather than simply have a little non-advantageous fun while it lasts lol

That GM's access commands through ingame console

You can see this by adding

-console

eg.
"D:\WoW DUAL BOX\WoW1\Wow.exe" -console"

To your WoW shortcut

If your account is flagged you are able to do a help gm
This will list all GM commands.

You can do this through /<whatever> as well.. However "help gm" will dump ALL GM commands to the console.
