Red face Hello, in need of MB team build suggestions

    Hi everyone!

I'll get to the point. I'm a amateur Multiboxer 4 to 5 toon game-play. I have enjoyed playing Alterac valley the most with my shaman or dk team. That was a year or so ago though.

    I have...

    5 lvl 85 shamans
    4 lvl 85 dk's
    1 lvl 85 mage / 4 lvl 80 mages
    4 lvl 60 monks
    1 lvl 70 priest
    1 lvl 80 rogue
    1 lvl 82 warlock

I'm interested in making a team for going through instances or raids. With this new instant 90 boost i am unsure what to make.

Also always thought a full warlocks team would be really mean in pvp.

    hi
warlocks are fun for instances as the 5 pets are fine for tanking which leaves you with 5dps!
they took drainlife out of the destro build though which is a big shame but demo works fine.
ive only used them for pve so cant comment on pvp.

Interesting. Could 5 pets tank through 5 man heroics? Tempted to try out a new all warlock team if this can work. I did 5 hunters a long time ago. The pets works in the lower level instances but started failing once I reaches the current expansion instances at that time. Had not even started heroics.

I got slightly bored before i got to heroics (i just dinged 90 and rolled another team). But having now taken my paladin tea,m through the heroics I found them no harder than normal (given improved gear ofc) so I wouldn't imagine the locks having any problems really.

the pets have some great abilities and they just bounce aggro between them. plus insta pet rez, so you go into a fight with 5+5 tanks. Plus can glyph pet heal to an insta 15% heal with 10s cd so doesn't interrupt your dps rotation too badly. Most fights are so quick you don't need to worry about the pets too much.
Some fights/bosses take some working out ofc, as with any team: mainly due to voidlords lack of aoe threat, but the felguard is almost as good / better in some fights.

Nice. Too bad had already used the free boost on 1 Priest + 4 Pally. 5 locks will be my next team once I ding 100.

I'm thinking i need a paladin for instance/raid stuff who can team with either shamans or the dks?

and then the 4 warlocks to add to the team list for just havin plain fun.

if you want to use the lfg tool then yes you will need to satisfy the trinity.
when I used my 5 locks I had to go to each dungeon myself! but I didn't mind as it was my first foray into cata/panda content.
subsequent teams all satisfied the trinity though, its too inconvenient not being able to use lfg. (but so what if players want to take an unorthodox premade into an instance!) totally understand the restrictions for pugs though.

Shaman leading x4 locks could be nice..

I like to box pet classes but I would always lead from a healer unless I had a tank .. new content is going to hit hard at first. I have settled on Guardian druid, x3 Hunters and Disc Priest spamming shields and Holy Nova (she does have a oh shit healing macro too but haven't needed it much), the Priest and Druid have kitty & shadow too for raids... they are 90 and managed to do all the 5 mans with little effort. I have a lot of buffs from pets plus hero.

I leave taunt on my Hunter pet's then my tank takes a lot less damage as threat bounces around the 4 of them, plus spirit bond and glyps of Animal bond and mending. Hunters can now rez their pets really fast as they reduced the cast time of it... the tank actually does decent dps too.

I loved the time with my locks - but no moving while casting.. my Hunters can do everything on the move.. the Hunters win out for me.

To get around the trinity you could have a dual spec healer that can dps.. and a tank that can heal.

I did have a few old teams you can see on my youtube - I need to make movie of my current team.

If you want to run a 5xmelee team, prot/ret pals for example , then create a few macros to focus everyones quick heal on any team member:
I give each member 5 macros, which gives me a heal button for each player:
    /target player1,2,3,4,5
    /cast flash of light
    /targetlasttarget

gets better if glyphed and talented.
easy to fire off during downtime/white dmg.
designate 1 member as tank by turning on righteous fury or equivalent and add a few more easy to reach mitigations for that member.. eg, 5 x sacred shield on the 'tank'.
That's just the basics. add in holy prism and all the other good stuff paladins get and its hard to beat.

I tried it with druids and it works to an extent but form switching spoils it really.
works with shamans, burst damage is insane(5x wolves, elementals, totems etc) but much more squishy than paladins due to far less mitigation abilities, and cant use lfg tool! fun though (if you like shamans!)
