There's a difference between pushing software and supporting. The community as a whole has pretty much agreed that keyclone is the easiest way to get into software multiboxing. Plus the maker spends a TON of time on the forums helping people even beyond keyclone advice. He also remains very objective about it's strengths and weaknesses, which is the opposite of pushing software.
Personally I use AHK. It's got it's problems but it fits my general mentality. I am compelled to 'support' keyclone though based on it's ease of use and Rob's commitment to this community. Besides, at that price he's basically given away all of his development time and is just paying for the site and some tiny portion of other assundry stuff.
