Hi. This is my first post here, but I wanted to throw out my two cents on this matter.

You are going to have a hard time getting a GM to tell you that it's ok to tell people about a third party site because then everyone would be running around advertising everything and they would just say that the GMs said they could if someone questioned them. As long as you are in a conversation with someone who asked you a question you will not get in trouble for referring them to an outside website. Look at the kind of people who do the most talking in the game. Kids who do nothing but talk about Chuck Norris' balls and call everyone a gay n00b. If they never get banned you're not.

Don't worry about it. If someone talks to you that way again report them. Especially if they threaten to report you. It's stupid. You wouldn't get in trouble for that when they're the one bugging you.

I get reported constantly and i get told that im getting reported just as much. So far they haven't said anything that would warrant me to put in a gm ticket. I did get abused when i killed a horde (Bright red lvl to my girls) who attempted to kill a buddy who was nearby and didn't notice me. He came on an alliance account and yelled at me for an hour rerolled a few times cause i kept putting him on ignore. I opened a gm ticket after the third reroll.

But in general im pretty thick skinned and most of the things they were saying wasn't phasing me. People always ask about duelboxing and i refer them all the time to keyclone and this website.

Just get used to the harassment and ignore it or spend time arguing with people about it. I do some of both depending on my mood. I have NEVER been contact by a GM or had any problems from bliz in the slightest. I must have been reported 100's of times. I probably miss 75% of the stuff being said about it.

When people say "I'm reporting you for botting - hope you had fun because your accounts will be gone tomorrow". (and I get this type of tell a LOT)

I just respond with "Go ahead. You think I'd be level 70 with this gear if I was doing anything against the TOS? lol - Learn to read the Bliz posts on wow forums". And leave it at that. 50% of the time they start asking "well how do you do it? " All the sudden they turn nice. then I'll say - dual-boxing.com has all the info.

When they respond with some other crap I just say - "I don't care what you do - but just stop bugging me - I've probably been reported a hundred times by noobs like you. Read the bliz forums" Then I'll ignore sometimes.

Then they usually follow up with personal attacks like "You are such a loser" etc... Which of course is stupid since they are playing the same game and have probably played 100 more DAYS /played than me - which I usually point out.

I get spit on by horde ( I am alliance) all the time. I get tells from people all the time saying all sorts of things that could be hurtful to someone. I'm not the type who actually gives a crap, but I'm sure it bothers some people - which is understandable. But it comes with the territory. I also get a lot of positive feedback too - which is always nice.

P.S. - if someone really pisses me off with personal insults I just mark their say as spam x5 or report them AFK in a BG x5 as they try and argue with me. It makes them stop real quick.

I get reported or threatened by people to be reported all the time, usually a whisper to every toon I'm playing. I ususally just ignore the person but on occasion I find someone who is interested in why and how I'm playing multiple toons. I usually refer them to the policy link and tell them about dual-boxing.com. I don't see how telling someone where I found information in a whisper can be seen as advertising. I have on several occassions been issued an ultimatum something like "Ok, I know that you are running those clones and I'll give you a break this time. Pick one to use and stop cloning or I'll report you for breaking the ToS." My response is macro'ed these days... "Feel free to report me if you feel it will enhance your gameplay however dual-boxing is not against the ToS and any GM you talk to will explain that to you. On another note "Harassment" is against the ToS and further threats from you wil be reported in kind x 5."

P.S. I may just have to start a 5 man on Argent Dawn just to see Bippity, Boppity and Boo !!!
