Just get used to the harassment and ignore it or spend time arguing with people about it. I do some of both depending on my mood. I have NEVER been contact by a GM or had any problems from bliz in the slightest. I must have been reported 100's of times. I probably miss 75% of the stuff being said about it.
When people say "I'm reporting you for botting - hope you had fun because your accounts will be gone tomorrow". (and I get this type of tell a LOT)
I just respond with "Go ahead. You think I'd be level 70 with this gear if I was doing anything against the TOS? lol - Learn to read the Bliz posts on wow forums". And leave it at that. 50% of the time they start asking "well how do you do it? " All the sudden they turn nice. then I'll say - dual-boxing.com has all the info.
When they respond with some other crap I just say - "I don't care what you do - but just stop bugging me - I've probably been reported a hundred times by noobs like you. Read the bliz forums" Then I'll ignore sometimes.
Then they usually follow up with personal attacks like "You are such a loser" etc... Which of course is stupid since they are playing the same game and have probably played 100 more DAYS /played than me - which I usually point out.
I get spit on by horde ( I am alliance) all the time. I get tells from people all the time saying all sorts of things that could be hurtful to someone. I'm not the type who actually gives a crap, but I'm sure it bothers some people - which is understandable. But it comes with the territory. I also get a lot of positive feedback too - which is always nice.

P.S. - if someone really pisses me off with personal insults I just mark their say as spam x5 or report them AFK in a BG x5 as they try and argue with me. It makes them stop real quick.
