Maradon help with Plants

I just tried Maradon with my 5 box team ( lv 49 paladin and 4x lv 49 Shamen).
I started the Purple side (easy side) but get destroyed by the thrasher plants. I pulled the plants but my paladin dies within seconds. He has good armor which reduces 50% damage, but each of the 8 plants hits me for 120 - 150 and I was at 50% before I could get a heal off.

1. What strategy do you use for killing the plants on the purple side?

2. When I come close to the cave, I see the location of Cavindra. But HOW DO YOU GET TO HER? She appears to be up on top of some mountain along the road and I cannot find the approach to it.

1) i would make sure with your own 5 man team that you are specced for instances, ie. your pally is protection, and your priest is holy and so on...

2) she will patrol down from the mountain and over to the east if i remember right, she will for sure come down though you just have to wait a bit.

When I was running through Mara on my hunter team, I was wondering how I was going to handle the instance with my 1pally 4shaman team.

BTW, do you have an armory link for your pally? I can give better advice if I see his gear/talents.

Ive been doing orange and purple side of mara for a couple levels on my 5 shaman team and I dont remember any pull that had 8 of anything in it other than the larvae pulls right near noxxion. Unless you are talking about inner mara which I never had much issue with generally even in leather/cloth on my casters (lvl 44) What I usually did was pick targets on each shaman and then cast chain lightning immediately. I then dropped stoneclaw totems and magma totems and by then CL was up again and that was enough to kill almost all of them. Sometimes I would have one death but not very often. 120dmg to a prot paladin seems kind of high, I think they only hit my main shaman for about that much. You are wearing full plate and shield and all that right?

Since I assume you have one enchanter on your team putting things like stamina enchants on things, having a big hp pool certainly helps.
