Hey all have never multiboxed before and was getting bored with WOW so decided to try it. Spent the investment and had an old Keyclone key so went with that for now (I understand isboxer is better). I am running warrior tank, disc heals and dps is hunter warlock and monk. I find the most trouble with the monk dying but the casters are doing the best. Have got the group to 71 already with doidng dungeons only which was my purpose for creating the group.

My question is this wasn't my fav setup as I need a hunter warrior and monk on my main account to finish of a 90 of each. My main purpose is to level a 5man group that I can do PVE content only (not interested in PVP at this point) so things like old raids such as firelands etc. What have people found to be the best for a 5man group to box old raids?

I was thinking shaman for heals although my disc priest so far is amazing, DK for tank, and I dont really know what mix for the dps. Any sugetsions on the best group make to 5 man PVE content would be much appreciated

The key things, I think, in making your decision are if you already know how to multibox okay, which it sounds like you do. And, if you can control melee DPS as well as range, which you say you're doing, though perhaps not as successfully as you'd like.
Then the team make up is really going to be up to you and whatever you are most comfortable with.

For synergy you could pick classes that will cover all party buffs, but that's never been a priority for me.

If 5 man dungeons and heroics is your main priority, I really like Disc Priests for the passive heals, I very rarely need to manually heal in dungeons and rely almost solely on Atonement and a bit of target of target macro's for shields.

If I still had RAF and wanted to level another 5 man team, my "dream team" would probably be a Pally tank, a Disc Priest, Destro Lock, Enh Shaman and either a WW Monk or a Fury/Arms Warrior. But, like I said at the top, that's where it's just going to be personal preference.

Thanks for the advice im having trouble with the melee, im not sure if its a keyclone limitation or im just not profitiant enough yet to run both but I find it harder to control the monk than the hunter and warlock. But im not 90 yet so cant make an accurate decision. Have you found a prot pally better than say a blood DK for tank? I have a dk on my main account which does very well at soloing almost everything but I have never tried a pally as yet. The hunter and warlock are defnitley putting out fantastic dps and I havent tried a shaman so not sure wether they would be better than the disc preist which is going great so far. Have you tried a shammy for heals?

The thing I have really noticed since returning to WoW, (I took a pretty long break - 3+ years) is that it's nowhere near as easy to rate class/spec as "best/worse" in most cases. Blizz did a good job of making mostly everything very viable. Especially if you aren't min/max'ing for end game raiding.

So with that, I wouldn't necessarily say that a Paladin is better than a DK. I was just more familiar with a Prot Pally so it came easier to me. Prior to multiboxing I had tanked with a Pally before, but only played a DK as DPS, if you're already familiar with DK tanking you may find it easier.

I've used a Shammy healer, and there's nothing wrong with it at all, I just found I needed to be a bit more active in my healing as opposed to the passive/smart heals from the Priest. So it's really about play style.
